Wheeltrip

A complete mobility platform for people with reduced mobility: mobile app, web, API, databases and infrastructure.

Wheeltrip

The story

Wheeltrip centralises ticketing for people with reduced mobility: a single QR ticket for several transport networks, an accessibility-filtered route, an SOS button, and dedicated views for companions and agents.

It is a school project: the SAE 5A01 of the BUT in Computer Science (IUT of Vitry-sur-Seine, UPEC), done as a team in a simulated professional setting with agile tools. Each building block lives in its own repository: the DataMedia API (FastAPI), the web client (Next.js, App Router, TypeScript), the mobile app (Flutter), the data (DataLite: MySQL scripts and MongoDB imports) and the infrastructure (InfraEngine: local, dev and production Docker Compose).

Deployment extends to Kubernetes (k3s manifests with ConfigMaps, Secrets, PVCs) and Ansible to start and stop services on remote hosts.

What I take away

Making seven repositories hold together with clear contracts between them: the API as the boundary, infrastructure as code, and example files so anyone can restart the stack.
